I'm in the odd person boat myself -- I've loved 1920's/30's music since my little ears heard it on those wonderful old cartoons, and little rascals reruns when I was a little rascal myself in the 1970's. Now I'm living it musically as well :D You guys are hot! p.s. What happened with the soundtrack for the Great Gatsby?! You guys should have done it. But I haven't seen it (because in the trailer I heard the music and said What?) So I'm not sure if there is some real music in it or not? .

I've been to Sophia's a few times to see Vince and his Nighthawks and they swing! If you haven't seen them. It's worth a trip. You also never know who you'll see there. It could be Mel Brooks or some other celebrity. I was fortunate enough to meet Leon Redbone one night. .

I love Vince and his Nighthawks - have made a couple trips to NY to hear them. Time for another trip - can't get enough of his music..

I have been to several of vince's performances and spoken to him on a few occasions and can rightly say he is one of the best traditional jazz bands today! Keep going Vince!.

Started listening to Vince back when The Aviator came out. He truly has a great group!

Im from england and this is the best thing i have ever seen on my tv..........this song gives me goose bumps i really do miss boardwalk empire. https://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/naikamono/diary/201902070000/ It was a great thrill to work on Boardwalk Empire for 5 years !  They had me write this intro for the dancing girls to enter and then, it's the Fletcher Henderson arrangement transcribed from 1924. We took Louis Armstrong's solo and harmonized it for the brass. Come to Iguana [ 240 W.54th St NYC] on a Monday or Tuesday night and we will play this for you !.
